Grief and Loss Support Groups:


The Compassionate Friends is a peer support organization for parents who have experienced the death of a child.  They offer online and local chapter meetings, resources, education, and support for healing.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): NAMI offers resources, including support groups, for various mental health challenges, including bereavement.

 

General/Local Resources:


Dialing 2-1-1 is a great way to connect with local services and get connected to grief support groups and other community resources in your area. 

Many local hospitals, mental health services, and community centers offer grief support programs and information on local groups.  You can check the websites for these institutions or call them directly to inquire about resources.


Online Resources:


David Kessler is one of the world's foremost experts on grief and loss.  He is an author and trainer with a mission to help others heal from grief through videos, books, workshops & speaking engagements.  He created the following online resources:
